Thick and heavy grooves that remind me of bands like Suplecs and Dixie Witch, much of the same approaches and raspy vocals that are more reminiscent to Dixie Dave of Weedeater more so than Trinidad of Dixie Witch...also kind of reminds me of Mississippi Sludge with a tinge of Eyehategod. The new album from Sweden’s Carnal Forge finds the melodic death metal band with a renewed enthusiasm and quest to expand their already impressive worldwide base. With two videos already filmed for album tracks "Numb" and "Burning Eden" and touring already in the planning stages, the 2007 rollout of the Carnal Forge machine is in high gear. Formed in 1997, Carnal Forge released their debut Who's Gonna Burn (War Music) in 1998. Signing with Century Media in early 2001 the band released Please... Die later in the year. Carnal Forge would tour Europe supporting The Haunted and Nile and make the first of several prestigious festival appearances (Linden making his debut with the band at the year's 2000 Decibel Festival and Wacken Open Air). The More You Suffer (2003) and Aren't You Dead Yet (2004) would continue to see the band expand fan and Worldwide sales base. Vocalist Jens C. Mortensen would join in late 2004, impressing fans with his strong live performances. In early 2006 the band began work on new material and expect an extensive world tour after the springtime album release.

Carnalist Started out with only Sonny Mery and Niklas Lindeke in 2005 being members of a unorganised band called H.I.V wich kicked both Niklas and Sonny for playing to heavy music so Niklas and Sonny ended up jamming together and became frinds through Metal and Beer.
Later on they started to play more and more and namned the band Huj Babajaga wich means cock-witch in polish. The music they where playing was kind of thrash/death metal oriented from everything between slayer and Behemoth and we made a couple of songs but never took it to any serious level. Later on in late 2006 Niklas Bruhn joined as a second guitarplayer.
In the beginning there was a big problem with finding a singer wich limited them to only play in the rehersalroom. Sometime in later 2007 Huj Babajaga renamed to Carnalist because we wanted to take the band into a more serious level. Carnalist means a person who has a odd perversion towards flesh, blood and carnage.
Later that very same year, Hampus Olsson joined as the main singer of the band, founded by the contacs of Lindeke.
