ANTIGAMA / DRUGS OF FAITH split 3"CD
Antigama from Warsaw, Poland and Drugs Of Faith from Virginia, USA team up for a split disc inspired by the Napalm Death / Coalesce split, In Tongues We Speak. Following in the footsteps of that bi-national split of grindcore and hardcore, Selfmadegod Records from Poland is poised to release the Antigama / Drugs Of Faith split 3"CD on an eager world audience.
The three songs representing Antigama's share of the CD are the last ones that the band is issuing before the awaited Relapse debut full-length, Resonance. The quartet turns in two original songs packed full of its trademark sound and a cover of a classic Goblin song.
As for Drugs Of Faith, this power trio delivers three new tracks that offer a taste of what the upcoming full-length on Selfmadegod may sound like. The band has new surprises up its sleeve, having churned out spanking new material for this team up with Antigama that takes its sound further down the road hinted at with the self-titled mini-album, both musically and lyrically.
Not content to have two bands from the same obvious genres or sharing the same influences go head to head on a split, as often happens, Antigama and Drugs Of Faith's individual sounds play against each other, resulting in a jolt for the listener as the tracks alternate between the two bands on Selfmadegod's latest release. BLOOD DUSTER "Lyden Na" 2XCD
After spending the last few years playing in places as far away as the Czech republic, England, Japan and New Zealand as well as hangin' out backstage with the likes of METALLICA, THE DARKNESS, NAPALM DEATH, DANZING, SLAYER and many, many more, BLOOD DUSTER the corporate dynamo is back, bigger and more completely fuck off badder than ever!!! In late 2006 the band started recording what was to become a 3 CD set. Two discs to be sold in one package, with the third to be downloaded from the bands website via a access code on the purchased CD. The download comes with exclusive demos from the album and a special fan video only available via a password on the bands very popular "Hippie Kill Team" members site.
The album is titled "Lyden Na" and when translated from Norwegian means "The Now Sound". This was done in homage to all the great Norwegian "Black metal" bands.
Lyden Na (or The Now Sound) features such glorious tracks as "ThreeOhhSevenOhh" a song dealing with the decline of the Northcote dole culture and the current pro Northcote art student mentality, "ILoveThePills" features a guest apperance by Darryl Cotton from 70s rock band ZOOT who was also the host of the early bird show with Marty Monster, "TheNightTheyBurntOldEmoDown" a country song, waxes lyrical on the joys of burning down a venue full of emo kids.

Thulsa Doom's brilliant year 2000 debut, The Seats Are Soft But the Helmet Is Way Too Tight, was so criminally overlooked that their American record company, This Dark Reign, must have taken it as proof that the Gods really were crazy -- dedicated stoner rock and doom enthusiasts certainly did. Just to double-check, the label felt compelled to reissue this five-song EP, dating from 1999, and infamous for its cover picture of Bill Clinton flashing the devil horns (or hang loose sign, if you ask a surfer dude) to go with its Lewinsky-inspired title -- sweet! Sadly, it too didn't strike a chord with your average music consumer, despite containing two of the aforementioned album's best cuts -- the piledriving "Sins of the Next Man" and the colossal and hilarious "Birthday Pony" -- alongside three rarely heard tunes. Among these, both "Fatboys Head" and "Cities After Cheese" are musically solid but straightforward by Thulsa Doom's lofty standards (not so their lyrics, though), but the ending title track is yet another reminder of the Norwegian quintet's considerable imagination on all fronts.
